Today’s real life Ouija board story is taken from the boards over at Talk Paranormal, where the member Monsoon Goddess has a very creepy tale to share.
MG admits that when she was younger she had a Ouija board and often used to play with it. Nothing weird ever happened though, and if the planchette ever did move she was convinced that it was only one of her friends pushing it for a laugh.
Then in 2007 her cousin comittted suicide. They had always been very close and MG was devistated, so she decided to try and contact him via the Ouija board and asked her best friend to help her.
Not wanting to use the board inside MG’s home, they took it out to the barn and decided to conduct their business by candle light. Nothing happened at first, but after a few minutes the planchette began to move and the spirit was soon spelling out her cousin’s name. MG needed to be sure that her friend was not pushing the planchette and if she was not pushing it MG then needed to know if the spirit was who it claimed to be; so she asked it how it had died and it spelled out the word ‘gun.’ MG’s cousin had shot himself, but her friend was unaware of this fact.
MG then asked the spirit to give her a sign that it was there. The candle blew out and not long after this the dogs began to bark for no reason so the two girls went outside to investigate. They found nothing that could have upset the dogs.
When they went back inside the barn they could smell something burning, but when they could find no trace of a fire they returned their attention to the board. The spirit was still there, but it admitted that it was not MG’s cousin at all and identified itself as Adramelec. It also said that it was there by invitation. The smell inside the barn then became stronger and MG recognised it for the first time. It was sulphur. The two friends had had enough by this point and called it a night, but the dogs were still disturbed by something and the next day MG did a little research and discovered that Adramelech was the name of a demon. Not for the first time I have found a story about someone taking their Ouija board into a basement and scaring the themselves silly.
This time it was three friends in the basement and they took three candles with them. One to symbolize daytime, one for nighttime and the final one for protection.
The gang lit their candles and had a bit of a giggle. They didn’t find it so funny though when they succeeded in contacting the spirit of a dead child – a boy of six who had been killed by one of the nuns who had been responsible for taking care of him.
Not long after this the spirit of the boy became extremely agitated and claimed the killer-nun was down in the basement with them and could see all of them. His next word was ‘run.’ And the ‘protection’ candle blew out. Read all about it!
After they had enjoyed a particularly exhausting Ouija board session a young nurse told her boyfriend that she wished she had asked the spirit to visit her in her dreams. All too many times people embark on their first Ouija board experience because they are bored. So they either hunt out a board or make their own and pretty soon they are not bored any more. More often than not though, they are just to damned scared to be bored.
Over at Reddit.com someone has posted just such a story. It is about an experience that occurred when the poster was just 14 years old. She and her friend contacted the spirit of a young girl named Esther, who died in the 1800s, when she was only 6.
A few days after the initial contact Esther materialized in the house and them, some years later, she turned up again on the tape used for an EVP experiment. It’s an interesting story. Read all about it!
If you read enough accounts of people’s supposedly real life Ouija board experiences you begin to notice that certain things come up again and again. One of those things is stories of Ouija boards that have been burnt of thrown away, but then reappear in the home of the person who tried to get rid them. It is not unheard of for people to try again and again and again to destroy their Ouija board only to find that it returns again and again and again.
I’ve read many such stories and found yet another one today. In this case the girl tried to burn the Ouija board in a ‘burn barrel’ that the family kept out in their corral. The board came back, so she burned it again. It came back again. It’s an interesting story. Read all about it!
